I can´t believe we´ve been here for four days already. I feel like I´ve been here for much longer. Other than feeling sick for most of the time that I´ve been here, I´m having a good time. From the very first day, walking to the Ashoka office, it felt unreal. And it was so beautiful with all the greenery and gardens with the ocean in the background.
Things I´ve learned so far: Peruvians eat a lot of potatoes and kiss people on the cheek as a greeting and farewell. This made it super awkward when I tried to hug the girls in Lurin Chincha that we were volunteering with and they were trying to kiss me on the cheek and one of the girls kissed me on the neck. I´ll know for next time.
Quick recap: Started in Lima, Ashoka intro, bar and salsa dancing, 5 hour bus ride to Lurin Chincha (finger painting with the kids and went to the beach and laguna with them to see la ceremonia del santo del mar), no wineries but awesome sand boarding and dune buggying where I overcame my fear with my new Greek blood buddy Costas, had a beer to slow my blood and jumped in the pool in my underwear, 5 hour bus ride back to Lima, class meeting to discuss volunteer experience.
Peace.

What fun!!
